Product overview

Mini soap bars are one of the simplest ways for a hotel to reinforce its brand in the guest room. A 15 g to 30 g bar, wrapped in the property’s own colours, sits beside the basin and is often taken home by guests. For hospitality buyers the priorities are consistent quality, reliable bar weight, attractive wrapping, and a supply that arrives on schedule in the quantities needed for each property.

GoodBiz Hygiene, a merchant exporter from India and a GoodBiz Global company, supplies hospitality buyers with mini bars from small-format soap lines. We do not run soap lines ourselves. Mini bars are sourced from vetted Indian manufacturers who run small-format moulds and wrapping machines, and we manage the specification, documentation and shipment.

Grades and formulations

Hotel soaps are usually made on a good-quality soap base, typically 65-75% TFM, to give quick lather and a clean rinse even in hard water. Fragrance is kept soft and fresh so it suits a broad range of guests: citrus, lavender, green tea, sandalwood and an ocean-style profile are among the usual choices, and an unperfumed bar is available. Colour can be tinted to match the wrapper or left white.

Bar weight is a trade-off between guest perception and cost. Many budget hotels choose 15 g, mid-range properties 20 g to 30 g, and premium resorts 30 g to 40 g, sometimes with an embossed logo.

Packaging for export

The wrapper is the branding surface, so the choice is between printed paper wrap, colour flow wrap, and a printed carton for premium lines. Master cartons usually hold 500 to 1,000 pieces. Small bars pack densely, but cartons are still bulky relative to their weight, so a 20 ft container is limited by volume. Plan on roughly 800 to 1,000 master cartons per 20 ft of 20 g bars, and a loading plan can be arranged for your actual carton size.

Private label options

A hotel group or amenity distributor supplies its logo and brand colours and chooses fragrance and bar weight, typically 15 g to 30 g. Embossing a logo on the bar is possible where a die can be cut. Wrapper artwork and a sample bar are approved before bulk production. Lead time is typically 3-5 weeks after order confirmation, depending on wrapper printing.

Why source through GoodBiz Hygiene

Hotels buy by room-night volume and need amenities that arrive before a property opens or a season starts. GoodBiz Hygiene plans shipments backwards from your delivery date, and can help source matching shower gel and hand wash from the same supplier network. FOB, CIF and CFR are available; payment terms are agreed per order (T/T or LC). Shipments leave from major Indian ports. The HSN code shown is the 6-digit level, and the full 8-digit ITC-HS code is confirmed for each order. Send your annual room-night volume, preferred bar weight and brand artwork and we will return a quotation.

Hotel bars are graded by TFM in the same way as full-size toilet soap, as our guide to bath soap grades explains. Hand wash and shower gel for the same rooms are in the bath and personal soaps range.

Straight answers.

  • Can the hotel logo be printed on the wrapper?

Yes. Custom wrappers carry your logo and colours. Artwork is proofed before printing, and a minimum print run applies, which is confirmed on quotation.

    Buyer FAQ

  • What bar weights are available?

    Typically 10 g, 15 g, 20 g, 30 g and 40 g. The most common hotel sizes are 15 g to 30 g. Weight changes the cost per piece and container count.

    Buyer FAQ

  • Can you supply other amenities with the soap?

GoodBiz Hygiene can help source related amenities such as liquid hand wash, body wash and shower gel in small hotel bottles or sachets from the same Indian supplier network. Availability is confirmed per project.

    Buyer FAQ

  • What is the MOQ for custom branding?

There is no fixed minimum order. Custom-printed bars may carry a minimum print run per design, and stock designs with a standard wrapper suit smaller lots.

    Buyer FAQ

  • How is the soap protected during sea freight?

Each bar is wrapped individually and packed in sealed master cartons. Cartons are palletised or floor-loaded to avoid crushing, and a loading plan can be arranged before shipment.
